An impressive museum where we keep very good memories. I strongly recommend to visit it for adults and children at very interesting prices. If you go there on your birthday, admission is free. The visit takes 3 hours to see everything in detail. The museum is well arranged not very hot. Cool places. Seats on each floor for a short break. Nothing to say but to do.

A fascinating museum about the history of Egyptology from the end of the nineteenth century till now. You see the first excavations and the latest scientific technologies. Beautiful objects. A good audio guide helps to find the highlights. (Bring your own in-ear headphones if you like) you will need at least 5 hours ore more.

I went back to the museum after its renovations, and I loved it. Some of the relics are absolutely stunning, and the curators focused on representing the Egyptian culture in both broad strokes and everyday-life details. You even find a couple of examples of "free" artistic expression, more independent from the fixed canon of the time, which I found was a lovely surprise. I am monitoring the temporary exhibitions' calendar looking for some excuse to go back

Alright, so this is actually the only thing I did in Torino. The museum is excellent and actually pretty cheap to get into. There's tonnes of exhibits and interesting displays. I wouldn't have expected that out of an Italian Egyptian museum. I also love that it wasn't too touristy and that it was pretty chilled and relaxed. I had a great time. If

This is indeed a treasure and not what you might expect to come across in Turin... but there it lies resplendent. We spent a fascinating couple of hours and more but it was barely enough to scrape the surface of this wonderful museum. It sets the context for the excavation projects really well and displays the major discoveries in a highly informative way. One of the many highlights is a detailed set of image projections onto a full sized model of a sarcophagus explaining the meaning of the various hieroglyphs & paintings. The Gallery of the Kings was also superb.
