Both stunning inside and out. The craftsmanship is mental and is beautifully done. The history and story behind it is also exciting and interesting. It's a definite must Visit building in Venice. Security is pretty intense compared to most places I've visited in Europe. I suggest going on a cool evening as there is no air conditioning and it can get a little warm I assume. I went on a coll october evening and the windows were open and it was quite perfect. A beautiful part in the history of Venice.

We purchased the secret itinerary in advance and boy was it worth it. Access to parts of the Palace that are otherwise not visible to the general ticket holders and an incredibly knowledgeable guide Alessandra. The best part was the secret parts. We were a small group of 8 only much smaller than most audio guide groups and much more intimate. The Palace itself is a must see highlight of Venice. The Doges had an interesting history and its worth seeing for yourself how one Palace varied in its uses over time. The architecture is also beautiful and climbing secret stairways and seeing art that's otherwise unseen is a delight.

Amazing structure that housed an a form of aristocratic democracy during Venice's heyday. Better to book a ticket online and skip the lines. Artwork including the massive painting in the room where they held meetings is breathtaking. Not a bad little cafe inside.

Before the review, a piece of advice - buy tickets online. Instead of joining a queue 100+ people long, you get straight inside. As for palace - as promised - an amazing piece of architecture and interior decorations. Huge rooms with stunning ceiling paintings and if you get there before 10:00 it's (surprisingly) half empty.

A lot of impressions. Paintings of great Titian, Rubens, others. Gorgeous decorations of each room. Recommend for anyone who likes museums, art, medieval swords, etc. Photos allowed (except some rooms)
