Piazza Sempione, 20154 Milano MI, Italy
A spectacular arch on a wonderful Piazza. Oddly, I thought the best thing about it was the circular array of buildings that surround the arch. The atmosphere was relaxing on a cool autumn evening. And unlike most of the rest of Milan, there were no street hawkers. A very peaceful experience.
A very nice arch sadly it was covered in construction and a due to an event you could not approach it as they were preparing the area. Still you will likely pass it while in Milan as it is fairly central and as with most arches in Europe it is quite nice and makes for great pictures (hopefully with no scaffolding).
Lovely monument currently being restored to maintain its beauty. Located within easy walking distance from the train or bus you can get some food or drinks close by and then take a walk around.. Wide, open square with lots of room and big stairs where you can take a rest. It's an active square and usually someone is playing music.
It is a mind blowing fact that this sort of magnificent monument was built so many years ago without today's technological advancement. The whole structure reminded me the arc you can find in Rome and the statue perched on the top summoned up in my head Berlin's Brandenburg gate
Spectatucular structure with amazing sculptures on top. This really stands out and I love that when you look through the centre it's a clear view through the park to the castle. The area is nice too with lots of bars and restaurants.
