Rossnahowgarry, Killarney, Co. Kerry, Ireland
The waterfall was easy to reach and plenty of parking available both at the bottom and mid mountain just above the waterfall. Paths are signposted and waterfall is roughly 5 minutes walk from car park. If you are starting out from the bottom, I recommend you carry on walking up the mountain path after the waterfall as there are more parts to it that are just incredible. There are even paths where you can get inches close to the fall but still remain safe as there is flat parts and vantage points.
Beautiful hike! The waterfalls are not far up a small trail and easily accessible to most in Fair physical condition. If you want a bigger hike there is a loop trail that takes you up and around the falls for a beautiful view of the lake and then down into the meadow where there were many deer grazing.
Wear proper hiking shoes! Lovely to get in touch with nature again. Impressive views along the trail. The waterfall makes a dramatic backdrop to a great hike.
Nice hike, only about 500m up to a beautiful waterfall. If you continue on, you can do hikes of an hour or longer, with decent inclines. But definitely worth a ten minute stop on your drive around the ring!
Forrest walk and creek to it was beautiful. Waterfall was nice but not spectacular. Overall worth the stop especially if you just have time for a taste of the Ring of Kerry.
