Well worth a visit. Some giants of Irish history spent time in this prison over the years, and the guides have some fascinating stories to tell, as the jail played a vital role in Irish history. The tour lasts an hour and it’s worth checking out the museum too.

Merely impressive. Don’t hesitate to go there to learn more about Irish history and the roots of Irish independence. The guide was nice and helpful and he was able to transmit his knowledge with passion. Some of the places take your breath away. A must in Dublin.

Incredibly historic place and terrific tour guides who make it come alive. Closed down in the 1920s but then restored to it's original condition in the 1960s, this should be one of your top 3 stops in Dublin. If this helped or you like this review, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks

This was a great tour and not very expensive or time consuming. Very interesting facts and decent tour guides, I had a guy named Anthony, and he was very patient and engaging in the tour. Definitely would go again.

This is a place that anyone who is interested in Irish history should visit. The place is bleak as you would expect for a jail but has stories that have shaped Ireland’s political and economic history especially the fight for freedom against England. Take the hour long tour and hope you get as good of a tour guide as we did. I wish I could remember her name to give her a shout out on google
