Just. GO! Great art... beautiful setting and grounds. Excellent exhibitions. Was at 'A Vague Sense of Anxiety' exhibition.. so powerful and moving! Can't wait to visit again soon! Fraud exhibition next!
A favourite lunch spot. Restaurant run by the Kemp sisters Domini and Peaches offers loads of tasty healthy options. Love the home made soups and comfy couches in the winter for a slouch and a warming lunch. Oh and the IMMA is always worth a visit.
Located in a very beautiful location. there's a big Square in the middle and it's stunning. The museum has lot of different things to see, sometimes difficult to understand. In the back of this building there's a big garden where you can sit and watch the breathtaking view.
Not very much stuff here given the large size of the building. All VERY modern art, not stuff like Picasso which the tourist guide implied. Beautiful decorative garden.
The building is beautiful and I'm sure the art exhibitions are top shelf but I'm apparently not cultured enough to "get" modern art. The grounds are also wonderful and the location is great for just walking around. As previously stated - the building and grounds are worth seeing. There's a spectacular garden. And there's a tree lined walkway past ancient cemeteries, out an old gateway Arch. Right across the street from the arch is the old prison that gives tours which are also worth seeing. There's pay parking behind the museum and you can access all of these places plus some pubs and restaurants.
