Bunratty West, Bunratty, Co. Clare, Ireland
This was a must see for Ireland!! I went with a group and we had an absolute blast! The singing was amazing. The story was enchanting. The food was delicious. There's absolutely nothing bad I can say.
We were not aware of just how expansive this site was until we started exploring. The castle is just the tip of the iceberg. There are plenty of buildings and gardens to explore and enjoy. The staff of the castle were very informative with the history of the castle and the various furnishings within. I'm glad we chose this as our first stop out of the airport. We ended up spending nearly 3 hours here.
Brilliant absolutely fantastic park for a day trip. The folk park it big and has plenty for young and old alike. Good walking shoes are recommended. There are animals too, typical homes and a village in the park with a school shops and a cafe. The castle is wonderful. Go there see it for yourself. It's fabulous
Bunratty Castle was a very nice attraction. I can see the reason it's said that this is the most authentic castle in Ireland. It's really more like a little village. The castle is great to explore, but get there early so you don't have to wait in line too long to go up and down the stairs inside the castle. Make sure you make it to the library at the top. The ceiling is amazing.
A lot bigger than I expected. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Pack a rain jacket, and allow plenty of time to get around the park and enjoy all of its nooks and crannies. The castle by itself is amazing. The rest of the park is every bit amazing too. Enjoyed the village street. Bought lots of sweets in the old sweet shop. Had fun feeding the pigs.
