The Jaya Pub. It is a bar or old tavern that has been in this business for decades. As I recall, when I was in school this bar had already there in the same place in the same building until the present day when I grew up and find out this bar is still survived. So this place is a kind of legend from generation to generation. If you come to this bar, the nuances you will find rare oldies. The place, the bar and the music are not so much different. You can come here to listen to the old songs, about the year of the 70 or 80. If you go there this is not only a bar but a place to dine as well at an affordable price. Most of the visitors are foreigners and expatriates but some Indonesian guys love to be there too, mostly come from the old generations.

Good vibe. Decent prices. Good band playing oldies. Very friendly staff. Retro ambience. What else can anyone ask for!

A cozy dive bar with a good atmosphere and nice live music plus good service. But it is very overpriced and there really is no affordable drink options. Seriously 70k for a small beer or 50k for a can of coke? These prices just don't match the environment! I enjoyed this place but these prices are insane and they only have a happy hour on Monday + Tuesday.

What else can I say? The oldest and for me personally, the best pub in Jakarta. Awesome vibe, great crowd, the unique "honking" experience, and the live music is also very good. I rarely go to a pub or bar for the music, but Jaya Pub nails it.

Old world charm .. 60's music .. courteous waiters .. good selection of food and drinks .. cost on a little higher side for drinks.
