So this place is such a good photo spot BUT make sure you're prepared to either a) come super early (before 4am) or b) wait for a couple of hours. How the system works is that you check in and you get a ticket, and you wait for your ticket to be called for your picture to be taken. If you're with a group, you get a few group pictures, then each one of you can get your pictures taken individually (or as a couple). I got to this place around 6am and I was number 72, they were at 23 so it took me two hours until they got to my number. Once your number is called, you give the people working there your phone and they work their magic (I won't spoil it for you but it's genius). You do your poses and you can leave them a tip if you want to. That's it. Behind the heaven's gate there are some stairs that are also nice. Lo and behold, since everyone is just waiting for the main attraction, there's also a line to take pictures for this one. Super pretty place, just make sure to come early or be prepared to wait.

Very picturesque at the Gates of Heaven, we got there early at around 7am. They have a ticket system, that were on 28 when we arrived and our ticket was 136. It actually appeared to get quieter as we were waiting, I guess everyone else had the same idea. I wouldn't go earlier as it was foggy and you couldn't see anything, it was perfect by the time it was our turn at around 10.30. Be aware that the reflection is really just a creative local with a mirror, there is no water up there.

If you are lucky and the sky is clear, you will see from the top the whole Mt. Agung and the ocean as well. If you have the patience to wait, you can take that memorable picture at the Gates of Heaven. The queue is between 2 and 3 hours and you will receive a number and will be called for picture when your turn comes. Be sure that you admire all the beauty that is while waiting. Don't make that picture a purpose itself. You may take the picture on the other side, where there is no queue.

Most popular for the Gate to Heaven picture. The line was incredibly long (we got there at 7:30-8:00 and was told it's a 3 hour wait). If you're looking at all the photos taken there, they use a mirror to do the reflection. The other surrounding areas are great to check out though. I probably wouldn't recommend coming here, unless you really want that photo.
