The 2nd highest volcano mountain in Indonesia with huge lake. You must visit if you have strong enough. The view is amazing and unforgettable. By local is good choice for beginner.

This mountain is the 3rd highest in Indonesia, it's really a difficult climb even for regular hiker, not for a fainted heart. You will start climbing around 9am in the morning until 5pm to camp at the camp area, wake up early in the next morning to start clinbing again to the summit. There was plenty of small rocks where when you take 2 steps forward, you will move 1 step backward. The view at the summit was really amazing! Beware of some tour company where they didnt care about the environment, they just left the trash at the mountain which is really sad

It is quite easy to trek till the base camp, from there you have a beautiful view on lake in the volcano crater. Sadly, there are a lot of rubbish left over from the hiker/guide. The most challenging part will be the moon walk when trek to the top of mountain during the dry season. Loose sand/dirt make it harder to climb as you were moonwalk like MJ..... The view on sunrise is magnificent, it worth the climb.

Solo trek. Use maps.me if needed, but waterfall trail is not there. Went from senur side up/down. Need to pay 150000 per day fee. Guards collect around 6:30am. Don’t go before because guides will ask you for proof of fee and tell you to go back down. Also, guest houses will rent camping gear, but local government will come to their place if you tell guides you rented gear - don’t do that....
