a place to visit the mataram king's graveyard. It's free for public but if you want to enter the graveyard you are required to wear javanese attire and pay donation (no limitation but be reasonable)
The cemetery for majapahit ancestors, the great pleace for praying, learning the culture of majapahit era. Open at 10 - 4, only Thursday, Friday, Saturday.. The best part is you should take off the clothes and wearing traditional Javanese batik, they rent it for cheap price. The place where I can see my ancestors dyah ayu sekar tinumpuk ❤️
Great place as historical one
The cemetry of Mataram 1st King, Panembahan Senopati. A unique historical place in the heart of Kota Gede, one of most beautiful village in Jogja. The local residents are very welcome and friendly. You can take a lot of photo in here, but please be polite and behave :)
This is a treasure. A bit hard to find but worth the search. Use Google map to find this place. There are certain rules to enter. You will be asked to wear batik fabric. Please go there with a guide and ask as many questions as possible. Including those myth stories. Go walk around the area once you finished and you will find lots of old building that artistic and historical at the same time. The local people will greet you with smiles.
