You better to hire local guide here to explain the cave, it's history and stories around the place. There are 132 stairs to reach the bottom of the cave and at that lowest level, we will see few tunnels which used for ammunition or kitchen. The guide told us if the cave is 40 m below the city and it is quite safe during the earthquake in 2007 because he was inside the cave during the earthquake and it was only minor damage there. I forget the name of the guide - the one with a hat - but he is nice and quite expert to scare us with the stories.
still under construction..do pay for the guide, all the background story of this cave is fascinating (otherwise it will be just like a walk in a cave)
This building is very amazing. I couldnt believe how many heroes died in this tunnel. If you want to remind about Indonesian Struggle to the Japanese colonialism, visit this place.
