Explore the Historic Monuments in Cochin
You will be received by our representative and private guide and taken to Old
Cochin. Cochin heritage tour starts with Dutch Palace(closed on Fridays).
Though Built by Portuguese in 1555, it is known as Dutch Palace. The main
glory of the Dutch Palace is the art form of Hindu Temple. Dutch Cemetery was
built in the year 1724 and the oldest cemetery in India. Nearby Bishop House
we find out Indo- Portuguese Museum.
Jewish Synagogue (closed on Friday noon and Saturday) another historic
attraction of Cochin heritage tour. A number of Copper plates described in
Hebrew script are maintained here. The next capture point is St.Francis Church
built by Portuguese in 1510. Vasco-da-Gama was buried here and later 14 years
his remains were taken to Portugal. Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica is nearby
and it’s also by Portuguese in the year 1505
The Chinese Fishing nets are another famous spot in Fort Cochin.
