It's very elegant!! Some nice old paintings can be seen. Ancient swords, coins, head gears, etc can be found. It's a place worth paying a visit.
If you are ready to suffer the heat, this is a must go. We can get the local flavours of Kochi, if you want fresh, live fish you can buy from near by places where they catch live and sell. Also there is a museum and a temple, lots of small shops selling idols, sculptures, rings and chains. Overall a neat place to visit.
We couldn’t enter the palace as it was a Friday and was closed for tourists. We went around the building which looks anything but a Palace. The surroundings are maintained so poorly that it one would hardly feel it is a place of attraction for tourists.
Such places are keepers of our traditional history and culture. Lot of paintings and sculptures to see. I wonder why they charge such a low entry fees. Government must charge enough to pay for worker salaries. That would allow them to possibly pay little more to staff.
A Palace turned to museum. Has old drawings, that are being protected. No restoration has been done, keeping the original touch of the Royal arts as it was. Must watch place in Kochi For who loves arts
