The trek was way more enjoyable than this trash filled beach. If you like trekking to dense forward and open meadows, you'll find this place fun. But the beach itself is a disappointment. Couldn't see the sunset, as it was blocked by rock formations. Also, it's more frquented by tourists than you'd like to think. I went in the monsoons and the beach was still crowded. Plus, this beach is dangerous. Firstly, there's no lifeguards. The seabed inclines steeply and the difference in the height of water between low and high tides is huge and backwaters block the entrance to the beach at high tide. So don't spend the night, unless you're camping. Verdict: Go for the trek not for the beach

I reach at 5:00 after walking 100 meter crossing forest finding way to the beach it's a very good experience . Butterfly beach knows as island .. those who follow Map need to cross the forest . Or take boat from palolem beach. Butterfly beach verý cool awesome sunset. Tourist must visit 🤗

The Butterfly beach is a beautiful beach situated towards the north of the Palolem beach. Here one can see a tiny stretch of perfect white sand and translucent waters. It is very suitable for those seeking peace and isolation and is one of the quietest and unexplored beaches in Goa. The Butterfly beach is in form of a small isolated cove and can be reached best by a boat from the Palolem beach. One can enjoy the thrilling ride by the paddle boat towards the beach and also see some dolphins on the way. The Butterfly beach is surrounded by a lot of rocks. It was given the name 'Butterfly beach' by the tourists as in the earlier days it is known that when the trees on the hillside near the beach bloomed, one could see a lot of butterflies here. During low tide, one can also reach the beach by walking which is enticing as one can enjoy the hiking trails and sunsets on the way. The Butterfly beach can also be reached by walking for a couple of hours through a forest.

Beautiful place ,40min walk if u have a sedan , if u have jeep or suv you can go lil further.

spend a good time in this place, Couldn't find the way easily. Took some hours to reach with bikes.A silent place to see the sun in full beauty. You can make tents but staying at night is not a good idea
