This is the ideal tour for those that prefer a small group size and a more personal experience,
In this 3.5 hour glacier walk tour, you will explore the jaw-dropping scenery of Falljökull outlet glacier. Located near the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, Falljökull is both an accessible but extremely beautiful glacier tongue reaching out from the dormant volcano underneath Öræfajökull glacier.
On this tour, you begin with meeting your expert guide and the rest of your group at our Skaftafell Base Camp, before heading over to Falljökull in the Glacier Bus. The drive to the glacier takes about 20 minutes. Then, you start exploring. The small group size means you can cover more area during the tour and explore some of the more spectacular features not accessible to larger groups.
During the hike, your guide will tell you everything you need to know about the glaciers in Iceland, the geology of the region, and everything else that might pique your interest.
After spending approximately 2 hours exploring the glacier, you head back down to the glacier bus which will take you back to Skaftafell.
