Explore magnificent waterfalls, take a walk on black sand beaches, admire glaciers, volcanoes and more. This amazing tour will take you along the South Coast of Iceland where you will see stunning landscapes, breath-taking views and sunset.

What to expect?

Iceland's South Shore is simply amazing and it has some of the most beautiful sights in the country: waterfalls, black sand beaches, volcanoes, and glaciers.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your accommodation in Reykjavik and we will head towards our first stop, the magnificent Skógafoss , one of Iceland's most visited waterfalls. You will have some time to walk up close to the waterfall and you can also climb up the staircase on the side of the waterfall to take stunning pictures from above.

We will then continue our journey driving the Ring Road. We will be getting closer to one of Iceland's most active volcanoes, Hekla , known in the Middle Ages as the “gateway to hell”.

We will make a quick at the Lava Centre , where you can observe the monitoring of active volcanic systems, earthquake activity and surface movements in Iceland.

From the Ring Road, another Icelandic volcano is visible - the infamous Eyjafjallajökull that erupted in 2010 affecting air traffic all over Europe.

We will then stop at the spectacular Sólheimajökull glacier tongue. You will have time to walk to the edge of the glacier and admire all the different colors of the ice.

We will visit Dyrholaey sea cliff from which you have a fantastic view of the black sand beaches, the ocean, and the mountains.
With some luck, it is possible to spot some puffins on the cliffs in the summer months (June-August)

We will stop for lunch near Reynisfjara , the famous black sand beach with sea stacks and basalt columns , before heading to the picturesque town of Vík í Mýrdal , where we will admire Reynisdrangar sea rock formations.

On our way back we will stop to see Seljalandsfoss. Here you will have the chance to walk on the path behind the waterfall to take the iconic picture. Just make sure you bring your raincoat because you will get wet.

Just a few minutes walk from Seljalandsfoss, hides another beautiful waterfall, Gljúfrabúi. Usually omitted by bus tours, you will get a chance to explore the waterfall and its canyon.

There will be many coffee and toilet breaks during this private tour, so you can enjoy Iceland in comfort.

If you take the tour in the winter (September-March) we will try to get a glimpse of the Northern Lights before heading back to Reykjavik, weather permitting.
