Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) forms when charged particles emitted from the sun during a solar flare penetrate the earth's magnetic shield and collide with atoms and molecules in our atmosphere. These collisions result in countless little bursts of light, called photons, which make up the dancing lights we call Aurora.

Please note: As the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, it is never guaranteed that you will see them.

We do our best to take you to places where we (according to the forecast) think you will have more chances to see the Northern Lights but there is always a chance that you will not see them on the tour as nature cannot be controlled and a bit of luck is always needed

The Northern Lights Tour is available every day from mid-August to mid- April , but will only be operated if the conditions are favorable.

The chances to see the Northern Lights depend on many factors. Every day the weather conditions, cloud coverage, and solar activity are analyzed before deciding to operate the tour. In case of unfavorable and/or unsafe conditions, the tour will be canceled for the day.
