You can tell why this has a Michelin Star. We ate here several times staying in the hotel and everything was flawless. The menu seems simple but everything in each dish is cooked to perfection. Even the bread they served was top notch. Highly recommend if you’re in that area of Reykjavík and want a delicious dinner. (Photo of the duck confit)

Food is undeniably good. A bit overpriced, but good. The venue is continually crowded. Part of that is just being popular of course, but the design quickly winds up feeling cramped once the room is filled past about 50% capacity. Most importantly, the service was pathetic. Twice we ate the buffet - we were allowed in by an attendant both times only after dirty looks and pointed questions about our stay in the Hilton above. We later went for dinner, walked in the restaurant, and waited at the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. Two full minutes later, we saw our first attendant not carrying food to table - someone speaking to what appeared to be a guest returned to the front desk. The two conversed beside us, within three feet, for a further two minutes before we saw sign of anyone else. Two other waiters appeared, looked askance at us, and joined in to listen to the conversation taking place only feet away. They wrapped up after another minute, the waiters dispersed and the initial attendant busied himself six feet away at the desk, ignoring us. We left after the guest returned to start up conversation again.
