I ordered the lamb which was good but my wife ordered the hashed fish which was amazing. We ended up trading entrees. The roast whale also was something I've never tried before but tasted excellent.
Delicious food, excellent service. We had French onion soup, halibut with wasabi mashed potatoes, beef tenderloin with mushrooms, baked potato, vegetables, bread, butter. Everything was wonderful. It's a cozy, intimate, delicious experience.
We asked from deferent person (locals) and all of them suggest this restaurant. Foods was amazing , not raw not over ! Taste good , for that price it's worth. But in my option it was more cozy style and not really fancy. I like the area too. At last i suggest that restaurant for all tourists . Cute, cozy , locals choice , tasty .
We had lunch here. Started with the appetizer plate with a variety of tastes and then ordered individual plates. The fish hash was excellent as was the halibut. All 5 of us enjoyed our meal! Service was very good. Attentive, but not over bearing. Total bill was very reasonable (by Iceland standards). We may have saved some money by eating lunch instead of dinner.
Excellent introduction to Icelandic ingredients. Whale, puffin and horse all available here. The smoked puffin is tasty, and pears perfectly with the accompanying apple relish. Also recommend the Icelandic lamb - delicious.
