Fríkirkjuvegur 7, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland
I found SO MUCH to enjoy in this small but stellar collection. Most of the permanent collection is by Icelandic artists in the late nineteenth to mid twentieth century. Especially if you have some knowledge of art history and can put the work into the broader context, this museum is a pleasure. Totally worth a visit, especially if you have the City Pass.
Pretty small gallery. Mainly local art and sculptures. Nothing wrong with that. If you are an art nut, this would be up your alley. However, the whole gallery can be done in 30mins. Exhibits may change that in the future. It was free due to the city card, otherwise we may have passed.
Was truly a great cultural and artistic experience. Really enjoyed the current exhibit they are promoting. Plus, if you pay for a ticket you get a ticket to a few other museums also. Definitely worth it!
Very small museum, only 1.5 floors honestly. It was interesting and the building was pretty but it's not worth going to if you don't have the city card or you don't go to the other museums included with the ticket.
A beautiful lake with a variety of birds.
