Interesting piece of Icelandic history mixed with a little bit of folk lore. The owners are nice and helpful. You can pay for a guided tour or take a look on your own. I recommend the tour though. Also there is coffee and cake. When was there they had a little lamb named runs who was very cuddly

Nice non-geo stop on the Golden circle tour. Realistic insight to the toughness of Icelandic farming/survival. Appreciate the period attire of the tour guide, and sticking to the custom at that time - coffee & cake for the travelers. Ask about the potatoes!

Incredible tour by one of the most eloquent guides I have yet to meet. Fantastic story telling mixed with a surreal cave experience made me give this a 5 star!

Great short historical spot if you are near the area. The tour is worth it if you want some interesting backnhistory of Iceland. Total time from the main road is about 10min driving in on the gravel road and 30min tour. You can grab some coffee and baked snakes if you want also. Great tour guide with good info. Not a ton to see inside, but unique experience and worth a quick side trip if you are in the area.
