Wow. We were blown away by our tasting menu dinner at Matur og Drykkur. 5 exquisite courses, with a multitude of flavors one more delicious than the other. We opted to have several cocktails with dinner, which were all very good, and so inventive and original. But they also have an option to have the tasting menu be accompanied by a pairing of drinks (wine or otherwise). The culinary level is really quite impressive. It’s one of the best dinners we’ve had this year.

This was the first of many great meals that we enjoyed while in Iceland and it set the bar rather high. The service was very nice, and the food was delicious with creative new flavors. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to go all in and try some of the signature cocktails and dessert as well. I definitely recommend this place.

Not worth it for the price you pay. The food isn't bad but it isn't standout fantastic compared to international competition. I expected much more having read the reviews here. Service was attentive but rather cold. Cocktails actually stole the show. But I wouldn't come back for the meal.

The atmosphere is great and the drink is quite nice. The food is not as impressed as they looks like. I don't mean they are not good, but just forget their flavor quite soon.

An experience that won't be forgotten. Order the cod's head and get a lagniappe. I want everything on the menu. Make reservations if you can, but might be able to just walk in. Don't miss Matur og Drykkur while you're in Reykjavik!!
