The most beautiful place I saw in Iceland, period. Yes, it takes a lot of effort to get there, but totally worth it. A land of fire and ice. Highly recommend.

What a place! Snow, hot springs, steam, colors. There is a parking space nearby, but when there is too much snow, you can not get there by car - but you can go on foot :-).

What a great hike from Kerlingarfjöll Mountain Resort to Hveradalir and what a reward. An exceptional active vulcanic site!

The great place! I felt there like on the another planet ! During my stay i was taking part on project of renivation hiking paths there and I want aware everyone who wants to camp in the wild that the fine of camping not on the camping is around 1000€! And if ypu have enough time hike to Kerling too!! It is really long hike but there are stunning views. I would recommend to take there hiking map with navigation.cause sometimes it is difficult to find next stick on the hiking path !
