Gentle Giants – Húsavík Whale Watching

We had a great tour with Gentle Giants. We booked a RIB boat, which is much faster and smaller than their standard tour boat. It allowed us to get to the reported whale sightings faster and spend more time watching a humpback whale breach multiple times while the larger boats had to head back to dock due to their slow speed.

Best place in Husavik to go whale watching! Our boats crew was extremely knowledgeable about the whales and made sure we could get up close for everyone to see. The humpbacks were absolutely astonishing!

Amazing nature experience. Never been whale watching before and wasn't sure how much I enjoyed it but it was a surreal experience. Seeing hundreds of thousands of majestic puffins diving into the water was very cool, but we were also lucky enough to see two whales right next to each other breaching over and over again for about 15 minutes. Such a cool experience. Would love to come back and do it again.

We went out with Gentle Giants for whale watching on a rainy and windy day, a speed boat took us to deep water area after approx. 40 minutes trip, it was a bit cold despite the very heavy clothes including rain coat that we were wearing, we must look like astronauts... but we saw whales in pretty close distances. The guide and the captain were both professional and helpful. Great experience!

Excellent tour! We were very lucky and had really good weather and got to see a lot of whales. The guide was extremely helpful and knew a lot about the whales! It also gave us some advice on what to do to protect them which I loved it. Highly recommended! (Just which I had seen one jumping off the water!)
