Skógarbraut 945, 235 Reykjanesbær, Iceland
It is, as the name suggests, a bridge between the two continental plates. It spans a rift that is filled with black sand. There are clear notices explaining the idea behind the bridge and plate tectonics. It is free to visit and there is a car park. No toilets, no cafe and no gift shop.
Quick visit from airport and it's something you should not miss. Bridge is only 18m long. Small scale bridge it is ! Worth the time to go there
Symbolic bridge marking a rift between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates. Nice t stop by if you're in the area, but not worth driving specifically only to see the place. 1min walk from the parking lot.
Interesting spot, about 2 hours drive from reykjavik, very close to blue lagoon. Visited these two spots in one day.
Very nice. This was our first stop to visit in Iceland coming directly from the airport. It was early morning at 7ish o' clock. There was nobody else other than my wife and I.
