Great value! Very special with crunchy caramelized onion( I guess). The hot dog has layers of taste. Simple food but not simple recipe.

Cheapest food I had in Iceland, and worth the price. The lobster food is flavourful and has lots of fresh lobster meat. Also try the grilled scallops. They are fresh and sweet. The shop's menu is simple. There is a display case of all the skewers that they can grill for you, and the price per skewer. They sell soup and bread. And some drinks. Brisk service. Friendly by Icelandic standards.

If you're walking around town, you should definitely stop by and get a hot dog from because it's pretty effin' delicious. There was a long line when I had already reached here but it was worth the wait in the chilly weather to finally grab a bite. It's pretty quick to get a hot dog here and they accept cards which was very convenient for me.

An absolute classic. Truly the national dish of Iceland. One of the few must go to places and I make sure to make a pit stop there every time I'm in Iceland. The one "with everything" is what the locals do (some skip the raw onions though) Down that with a carton of Kókómjólk (sold elsewhere) and you're in for a special treat

This is purely a matter of opinion but the various sauces that they put on the hot dogs were too sweet for my taste. My wife, however, LOVED it. In spite of the sweetness, the hot dog is still very enjoyable and this place is definitely worth a visit at least once if you find yourself in Reykjavik. Get a hot dog with everything on it but be prepared for a much different flavor from the "ketchup and mustard" mixture that you'd normally find in the US.
