What To Do in Iceland in February

February is one of the low-season tourist months in Iceland. Regardless, it is an excellent time to visit for a good chance of seeing the Northern lights and enjoying the country’s magical - and unpredictable - winter season.

In February, visitors can expect excellent scenery of snow-covered mountains across the country and if you are lucky, you’ll have a good chance to spot the northern lights during the night. Also a great time to drive towards the Southern Coast, explore the Golden Circle and Thingvellir National Park in it’s winter colors, and enjoy local culture and nightlife in Reykjavik.
