Budapest, Dózsa György út 37, 1146 Hungary
I'm not normally a fan of contemporary art - I like things to have to pass the test of time before they're shown to me - but my visit here did something to soften that opinion, if not change it outright. I saw the work of four or five very talented artists, and really appreciated how well laid-out everything was.
This is a fantastic building, be aware you can enter the lobby for free and it is beautifully decorated, there is also a shop supporting current exhibits. Seems that normally there are two separate temporary exhibitions running. These are relatively expensive, are charged separately and would only recommend if you have a genuine interest in the subjects offered. The exhibition halls are also quite small which limits curation.
Really Broad selection of art, I enjoyed it very much and student tickets are reasonably priced
This place was a real disappointment and it's such a shame as the exterior of the museum itself is so beautiful. The inside hall is again lovely as is the cafe on the steps. However further in (once you've paid), the building has clearly been built upon as it is a completely architectural style. The exhibits inside are not great either unless you are a massive modern architecture fan. One to avoid otherwise and better to enjoy the exterior from heroes square.
Beautiful museum with range of modern artists Hungarian and international.
