Budapest, Vámház krt., 1053 Hungary
The covered market in Budapest is a large 3-storey space, the top half of which is restaurants and the other half of clothing and leather goods. The entrance floor is a supermarket for meat and meat and the basement floor for fish shops as well as a large supermarket. The sellers are very kind, you can bargain for the prices, the place is ventilated and bustling with tourists coming to impress the place. Prices are not market and you can find the same things at a cheaper price around. The advantage of the market is that there are many things concentrated. You can pay in local currency or Euro. A very recommended place to visit, not to be missed.
A great place to view many Hungarian products, though you can feel the place as a whole is aimed towards tourists. Prices for some things are much higher than if you would buy them in a supermarket. I do recommend buying your paprika from here, as the prices are reasonable.
An absolute must to visit when in Pest especially if you love markets! The eateries & crafts are mostly upstairs while fresh produce are on the ground floor & frozen section plus supermarket is below.
This place is like a zoo. People everywhere and so over crowded. Could not get out of there quick enough. Mind you the food available looked very fresh and good, but not worth the emotional effort to get it.
Very pretty place! Big market with about everything you can imagine. Market stalls with all kinds of food and souvenirs. However, in the afternoon it gets really busy, which makes it harder to enjoy. Go early!
