awesome staff. good closet space, spacious room, good shower, fabulous location close to lot of restaurants and hikes. delicious food on premises. shuttle bit slow to arrive. view of icebergs from the room window. only complain is the curtains don't make the room dark enough during the 24 hour daylight, so it's always bright.

The view and cook deserve 5 stars. The service is the reason I'm not giving 5 stars to hotel. Some of the service workers are good and some should start off working in smaller and less luxury hotels or hostels. I was surprised at the level of the service when the hotel is too expensive, they make beginners mistakes: closing the bar too soon because of a system mistake, forgetting restaurant orders and having to remind them about the dessert I ordered, not cleaning the room well, fake acting nice etc.. It's obvious some of the service workers don't have enough experience to manage such an expensive 3 star hotel. When I pay such price, I except a better service.

3 stars mainly for the service level of some of the staff. Greenland is a meat lovers paradise, so do not expect any veg options, our friends said the meat was good but the staff was not interested in even trying to cook some veg food, Other hotels we stayed in Greenland were quite accommodative and did their best to help us with some veg food. The bar is nice with a view, nice Greenlandic gin. So if u are a veggie like us, dont bother with the restaurant, eat at the Hong Kong cafe, cheap and good.

I cannot say enough good things about Hotel Icefiord. The staff are just extraordinary! We were picked up at the airport at midnight and taken straight to our accommodation. They were always super friendly, hospitable and the kindest folks you may ever meet this side of the world. Also the food here is wonderful. There is no better place than to go Hotel Icefiord for dinner. Trust me, we went to almost all the restaurants in this city! You should try the Thai Menu (Pad Thai was my favourite) and it tastes authentic too and there’s also the Greenlandic Menu in which you can try the tasting platter of reindeer, salmon, ox and halibut. I can not recommend this place enough. Be sure to make reservations as it gets extremely popular. Also, the views!
