Santorini Volcano Cruise Including Hot Springs, Thirasia And Optional Oia Sunset

• After pickup from your Santorini hotel, travel to the portside at Athinios and board your comfortable sightseeing boat for your 7-hour cruise.

• Find a spot on the deck, settle in and enjoy the views over Santorini’s towering cliffs as you sail across the waters of the caldera to the volcanic island of Nea Kameni. This small, barren islet is a National Park and boasts of a landscape formed from rugged lava and ash with a volcanic crater at its heart. 
Step ashore, pay your entrance fee to the park and enjoy roughly 1.5 hours of free time to explore the moon-like landscape. Perhaps follow the trails around the crater rim and capture the spectacular views back across to Santorini, with its shimmering white towns clinging to the cliffs.

• In the late afternoon, cruise back to Athinios port on Santorini and finish your tour with a hotel drop-off. Cruise with Oia Sunset Visit Upgrade: Make the most of your cruise by upgrading to include a visit to the sunset village of Oia. Hop off your boat near Oia during the return cruise to Athinios, and walk up to Oia village to witness one of its famously beautiful sunsets.

* After exploring, cruise to a small coastal bay fed by naturally heated, underwater springs. Take a dip into the invitingly warm waters that are believed to have therapeutic benefits, and perhaps rub some of the revitalizing iron-rich mud into your skin. Duly refreshed, sail on to Thirasia, a large island basking just off Santorini’s northwest coast. Separated from Santorini by a 236 BC eruption, most of the island’s small community life in its main, clifftop village. Go ashore and enjoy ample free time to stroll around the pretty streets and relax independently. If you’re peckish, perhaps ask your guide for restaurant recommendations and have lunch (own expense) at a taverna or café.

• Head for the cliff-edge terraces and snap photos as the sun sinks below the horizon, casting the caldera in a stunning, red-and-orange glow — it’s an unmissable sight!
