The Gorge of Imbros is the second most popular gorge for walkers in Crete after the Gorge of Samaria. The main reasons for this are that it is much easier to walk than Samaria. Secondly, the Gorge of Imbros is easier to access, and there are many spectacular sections.
What to expect?
Stop at: Imbros Gorge, Crete
- The magnificent Gorge of Imbros is a natural beauty. It is 7 km and easier to walk through. It’s almost parallel to the Samaria Gorge, and it takes almost 3 hours to walk through. The bus will be waiting for you at the exit of the gorge in the village of Komitades. Our next stop is at a beautiful beach, where you can swim or enjoy a meal at the local taverns.
