Cretan And Greek Dance Lesson In Arolithos Village
Beginning from the period of occupancy of the island, when the free expression of feelings through words was banned, the inhabitants have found that the most expressive way to show their emotions is through the sound of traditional music and dance.
What to expect?
Arolithos Traditional Cretan Village organizes Cretan & Greek dance
lessons daily in the village. The starting time is at 12:00 pm and the
activity lasts 2 hours.
An English speaking member of our personnel dressed in traditional uniform,
welcomes you with a treatment of raki and nuts, while was giving you more
information about Cretan & Greek dances.
A professional teacher of dances will show you the most popular dances of
Crete and Greece. Learn how to dance the famous Zorbas - sirtaki,
kalamatianos, anogianos and many many others.
After the activity, we make a 30 min visit in the museum of Rural History and Folk Craft and you are getting informed about the tradition and how was the life many centuries ago.
At the end, guests have a copy of CD with Greek and Cretan music.
Transfer service or car hire can be arranged with an extra charge.
