A lovely old church placed in a small square surrounded by shops. It is like a small sanctuary from the muddling crowd. I would not come here especially but if you are around, it is certainly worth a visit. Go inside, in quiet and absorb the peacefulness and beauty of the place. The back of the church offers good shade in hot summer days.

A gorgeous little church in the middle of a busy shopping street. It's a great place to unwind for a while when you're constantly busy all around. We found ourselves repeatedly coming back to it by default. It simply attracts you to itself. You quickly start viewing it as a sanctuary of sorts from all the stress and rapid pace of modern life. I'm not religious at all btw, but there's something about old places of worship that hold you in a way, making you feel at peace. All in all, when in Athens, don't miss it!

Beautiful church in the middle of a city street. I love how the city is built around it. People were eating, singing, and painting on its perimeter, like it was a street bench. It’s beautiful architecture is a jolt to the modern pollution around it. The doors were locked so we were unable to go in, but we were able to admire the architecture and art work on the outside.

I didn't actually go inside this church, even though I do go into most of the orthodox churches and experiences some calm and succour from the hurly burly of life and always light a candle for my Mum, Dad and brother.. This church is a marker and it's the space where people busk paint and youngsters meet. It's a nice social place.
