Beautiful gardens. It can be a bit of a maze at times, but Google Maps will set you right. The gardens are very well maintained (apart from the odd graffiti here and there) and are very beautiful to see. Out is free in to see also which is nice. We enjoyed our hour or so, sauntering around this place for an hour or so. Would recommend this place.
Beautiful area with lots of trails and gardens. It can be difficult to get out of at times as many of the gates are closed, but absolutely worth a walk. Plenty of birds, turtles and other animals around the area and very well maintained. There is a dining area in the far corner of the park. Very glad we walked through the park!
We had a pleasant stroll through the gardens and with plenty of trees it offers shade from the sun f those hot days. The cafe to the east side of the garden is one to miss unless hunger takes the better of you (like us). Much nicer looking cafe near the garden entrance on the west side and the main Avenue.
Very green and pretty lush gardens next to Parliament House.. wonderful to walk through in nice weather and esp in the summer to escape the heat of the middle of the day. Turtle pond and a duck lake create interest for kids, as do the animals sadly kept in grass-less pens further into the gardens.. I really wish these animals had a better future in a more natural and large place with interest for them if they must be kept in pens just to show them to the public. :/
A green oasis in the center of Athens. Relaxation, calmness and lots of birds singing around is what a visitor can get by stepping foot in the botanical garden. Lots of spots for laying down a towel or something and enjoy a nice rest under the sun or the tree shadows. You can also get a Greek coffee at the kafenio inside the gardens plus a sweet if you are up for it ;) Enjoy!
