We hiked all the way through the forest, crossed over the lower road, and continued to hike to the upper road. The forested area is absolutely stunning - greenery for miles, pretty quiet, and very tranquil with nice views. The hike further to the top was very tricky, and we're two fit young people. There were often 90 degree drops to climb over, extremely steep tracks, and loose rocks under-foot which made coming down even harder than going up. Definitely bring lots of water, and don't do this hike if the temperature is over 25 degrees as you will overheat. If you have a car, you can easily access the upper road and see the view (which is pretty spectacular, of the whole city). However, doing so on foot is tricky so proceed with caution!
