Akti Enoseos, Chania 731 00, Greece
I wish I had enough time to try all the appetizing dishes I saw in this lovely tavern, but I settled for the fried Calamari, baked potatoes, smoked salmon, and the baked pepper in cheese. All of the above was amazing. The service was very good, especially for a busy time of the day. The bill was a touch on the expensive side but I didn't expect much less from tourist spots like the waterfront here in Chania. What extra I paid for the food sure was made up for by the hospitality and sweets I was served in the end. I would highly recommend the place.
Man who sat us was very nice, not pushy at all. Girlfriend and I had never ate octopus before and had the fresh octopus. Was delicious! Ate it all. Adding to the list of place to recommend.
Right along the harbour so you get good views of the water. Salad was very fresh and the dressing was yummy and light. Seafood pasta was huge (definitely for 2 people)! Pasta and mussels were cooked nicely. Shrimp was overcooked. The snails were too hard to get out of the shell so we gave up. Enjoyed our meal, but took >30 minutes.
Had to have taramasalata so we found our way to a light lunch here. Satisfied that craving and added some calamari and local draught lager, and it was all fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly and efficient, and happy to help us out in English. Tables and chairs were clustered close together but it felt fine as the place wasn't crowded. Lovely view of the harbour. Would happily come here again.
Had a great meal here, all five dishes cooked perfectly. Steak, lamb chops, moussaka, tuna steak and calamari were all very tasty. The view is fantastic, looking out across the harbour. Service was fast and very friendly, topped off with the obligatory raki. Pretty reasonably priced too. Arrive at around 7pm and you'll get a lovely sunset to accompany your meal!
