Great.Very nice food, right next to the waves on the beach. The waiters are very kind and helpful. Fish food was excellent and also the burger we tried. The store is very clean and the toilets too. Generally normal prices. I highly recommend it.

Best food in halkidiki. Set on sea front and on the beach. Well staffed and very efficient.

Quick and polite service (they even offer a free sweet and coffee after the meal) but the food is mediocre at best. Some of the dishes not even edible (fried calamari legs required the bite of a pitbull to chew). Moussaka OK but nothing special. Chicken souvlaki was probably already prepared and kept in oil, resulting in the meat being chewy. Overall, not a satisfactory experience.

Lamb Chops all fat and bone, and the Staff not very welcoming. Mainly Greeks who clearly have a problem with tourists.

The Flegra, meaning "place of fire", is a typical Greek taverna, but with a different touch. It is ideal for those who seek the rich and genuine local cuisine and enjoy a cheerful, vibrant atmosphere: there's always some sort of improvised entertainment going on in the restaurant, either provided by Giannis's trained parrots, or simply by someone of the staff theatrically cutting a succulent veal long bone rib chop in front of an impressed diner. The menu offers a wide selection of food, always of good quality, properly prepared, well presented and, last but not least, of good value for money. There is no dessert list, but a mouth-watering pancake, filled with banana icecream and floating in melted dark chocolate, comes as a complimentary surprise at the end of the meal. The owners, Nikolaos and Giannis Wamvacas, take also pride in their wine list and in the private collection they keep hdden in their canteen for the eyes and palate of few priviliged. No need to say that they try their best to take good care of their customers and always make sure that everyone gets all the attention from the friendly and efficient staff in charge of the service. Here I need to thank especially Alex and Yllca who took care of my husband and myself during the ten days we spent in Polychrono, lodged in one of the pleasantly decorated boutique rooms of "Alkionides", the guest-house located just above the restaurant and impeccably run by Eri, Nikolaos's wife. All the rooms are equipped with a mini fridge, which stands as an invitation to a refreshing drink, after a sunny day spent at the beach, to be enjoyed on the balcony with an unobstructed view of a calm and blue sea. A very good combination then of lodging and food, ideal for a laid-back and perfect stay in wonderful Greece.
