The tallest mountain on the island of Evia is Dirfi with the highest peak is Delphi and is 1,743 meters. In the place Liri above Steni, is the shelter of the Greek Mountaineering Club of Chalkida. In winter the snowy landscape is attractive and sometimes difficult and inaccessible, especially in some parts as its cone reaches 30 °, often frozen, and windy winds sweep it over.

Perfect for hiking! Easily accessible, very close to Chalkida, relatively close to Athens. There is a refuge there.

We didn’t find the summit but there are a lot of superb trails in the surroundings. You have to go there if you want a nice big walk.
