Lovely food large portions. Bread was delicious. We ordered for four people and took home the giant bean leftovers. The donuts at the end was a nice touch. Prepare to need to book unless you arrive early evening as we did around 6pm. Service was good. Served us bread and nibbles immediately before taking order. Food high standard. Lamb fell off bone served with oven potatoes. Easy to find with Google maps. Just off the harbour road, one road back opposite a car park and next to a herbs and spices shop. Great find
Really good food with reasonable prices as we found most places on Crete were. It is heavier fare with a focus on lamb and mutton. They do have salads to choose from. But like most places I experienced in Crete, you leave filled. It's a good thing we always had a lengthy walk back to the hotel.
Fairly straightforward and simple menu but everything on it seem well prepared. Nice wine list too. The place seems quite popular so reservations might be in order, especially for groups over 4.
Just had a good meal here for a reasonable price (€37 for two people). The standout dish was the paper-wrapped mutton with garlic, which was beautifully tender and tasty. The rabbit had good flavour but was a tad tough and salty. The meal was ended with a dish of sweet dough balls and a small carafe of raki, without extra charge. The staff were especially pleasant and professional. We hadn't realized we'd stayed chatting till nearly 1a.m. and they remained patient and polite - well done and sorry to keep you waiting!
What an amazing place to eat. Super wow. The food is simply exceptional and the staff super polite.
