Borjomi - Bakuriani - Kukushka
Take this unique opportunity to ride on the retro train, 'Cuckoo', which is more than 100 years old! On this tour, rise to a height of 1600 meters above sea level to the ski resort, Bakuriani. Take a swim in a warm, outdoor pool surrounded by mountains.
What to expect?
Start your day of adventure bright and early with a pick-up from your hotel. After a short meet and greet with your guide, and a delicious light breakfast, you will take a drive to Bakuriani. Enjoy the scenic 2.5-hour drive and upon your arrival, you will be able to ride the famous retro train 'Kukushka' (Cuckoo) to Borjomi.
Upon arrival in Borjomi, you will travel with your guide to the central park. Here, you will find a world-famous source of mineral water and mineral water park, dating back to 1850. The original warm mineral spring, named Ekaterina Spring, sits beneath a pavilion straight ahead of the park entrance - you can fill your bottles with it! Take a walk through a beautiful forest, along a mountain river before you venture to the outdoor pools. This will take no more than 1-hour.
Take a small trek to the outskirts of the park where you can find the sulfur springs. Feel free to have a swim, relax and calm yourself in the warm water. On the way back you will stop at one of the Georgian restaurants where you can taste traditional Georgian cuisine. Vegetarian and halal dishes are also available.
