Beautiful pass. A bit hard to find the trail when there is still snow.

It's a really beautiful place for trekking. You can go here by bus from Strpantsminda to Juta. It cost 30 lari (return tickets.you can book at tour agency, they will drop you in Juta and will pickup 6 hours later at same place). It take only 25 minutes. You also can walk to Juta as well. You can hike up to Chauki Pass from Juta village. Tour information center and tour agency said it take 6 hours to get to the pass but it only 9 km from Juta to Chaukhi Pass. I spent only 4.5 hours to got to the pass and came back to Juta. If you are fast trekker then you can try. You also can camp before the pass and after the pass. There are good camp sites next to stream so can get drinkable water very easily. Enjoy your trekking and camping at Chukhi pass!!!

Even in summer this pass might be snowy.Ascend from Juta is normal but climbing down in Khevsureti side really not a gift at all cause it's very steep.But still worth due to wonderfull views.

Amazing views. Would recommend going up to Chaukhi ridge for the ultimate views of the pass and lakes
