I was there with my mother. We both went into the spa and swimming area and had a massage afterwards. First of all, nearly non of the labours spoke English but only French. Still they tried their best despite the language problems and were really friendly. The spa and swimming area seemed to be very nice but was way smaller than we both thought. There were only very few showers and not too many possibilities to put your bag and your bathrobe. However, this part was nice as well. When we had our massages we both had to wait because it was said to us we had to be there at least 15 minutes before it for no reason. So we waited there standing because there were only fabric sofas so we couldn't sit down with our wet swimming suits. Furthermore, we had to wait only in our bathrobe where everybody else walked threw in their normal clothes which made us both fell very uncomfortable. But the massage afterwards was pretty nice. All in all, it was nice staying there but I wouldn't visit it a second time for this price and that uncomfortable atmosphere which is because of the bad architecture.

we have been coming to the relais thalasso benodet for many years usually two or three times per year. NEVER AGAIN. the old adage is that if it aint broke, don't fix it. well it was really great before, but now they have fixed it good and proper. before, upon arrival, you were handed a portmanteua for your clothes along with the robe and towels. you went off into a cabin, changed into your robe and swimming costume and handed your portmanteau to the cloakroom attendant, she noted you name on the list and gave you a number. then you went off to have your treatments and if you wanted to, you could go the swimming pool and catch up on some exercise, i used to swim up and down fifteen to twenty lengths of the pool and always felt good after my massage and me swim. well that is all behind us now. upon arrival now you are directed down to the changing rooms which are housed in a dreadful damp and wet steamy room with rows of lockers numbered 1 to about 48 if i remember correctly. the floor is wet because they must had some fancy designer organise the showers so that instead of draining into s sloped drain, the showers spilled out all over the floor so that it was sslippery and wet on a permanent basis. taking you clothes off and getting into you costume and robe is a nightmare, you are terrified of dropping your kit onto the floor because if you did, it would become dirty and wet. why dirty? because people are walking around in the changing room with their shoes on. could it get worse? yes!! much worse. after having had a massage, i wanted to take a shower and rinse off before going into the swimming pool. you would have thought basic hygiene would demand that, yes? well not for the thalasso, there is no hot water and there is NO SOAP!! catastrophe!! on top of this, we were advised that there had been extensive improvements. well we didn't see any, on the contrary, half the stuff in the pool did not work. no jacuzzi, no bubble bench. we also noticed that there were very few subscribers,, what they call "abonnes" whom we have met over the years. when i did recognise a couple of them, they always turn up arouns half past four. i asked them what they thought of the changes. they told me that they hated it and as soon as their current subscription runs out they were not going to renew. we have never felt so let down over anything. when we went to benodet a couple of weeks earlier to make our resrvation and booking, there was no mention of any problems. so be warned. also even the hotel has become very stingy, given that there is no sopan at the thalasso, we took some with us from the hotel. on returning to our room after the thalasso, the soap and toiletries had not been replaced. we had to phone down to reception to ask for soap. when you have paid €760 euros for four nights, you would have thought that would include soap every day. in my view these people are pennypinching and moneygrubbing. under no circumstances would we ever return to this dreadful places.so disappointing even more so when you consider how lovely it was before they made a dog's breakfast of it.

Very overpriced for the quality of facility. Sauna's and steam room area needs serious updating. Not clean in sauna's, steam room, or bathroom. No aromatherapy in sauna or steam.. Didnt feel like a wellness spa, more like a in swimming pool in retirement village or hospital.
