Quite possibly the nicest park in Paris, at least of the parks I've visited it ranks at the top. It's the perfect size tucked into a tranquil and scenic neighborhood of beautiful apartment buildings as well as some architecturally unique historic homes. There's a jogging path along the perimeter that is always active, a merry-go-round, small playground, and a water feature with a small, charming bridge. Numerous other landscape features make this an idyllic park to visit, sit for a while on one of the many park benches throughout and enjoy a slice of Parisienne life. It's very popular with parents of small children but draws people of all ages with its beauty and serenity. Just outside one entrance is the Monceau Metro stop on Line 2 making it great place to depart from or return to when exploring the amazing city that is Paris!

Loved this park. I had kept it a secret for my husband the whole time I planned this trip. He loved it! The park itself is lovely, but there are also a large number of young children there by the carousel. Some people will love that, some people will not.

Très joli parc, très bien fréquenté et propore. The construction of Parc Monceau dates back to the 17th century, under the orders of the Duke of Chartres. Situated in the 8th arrondissement, today it is one of the most elegant gardens in Paris, and a reflection of the district. Visitors can enter through the great wrought iron gates embellished with gold. Walking around the park, you’ll find many beautiful surprises: numerous statues, a Renaissance archway belonging to the former Paris City Hall, spectacular trees, a wide variety of birds and a large pond. Parc Monceau is surrounded by luxury buildings and sumptuous mansions, including the Musée Cernuschi (Museum of Asian Arts).
