Amazing renovation of this classic Egyptian deco-style cinema. Great place for a drink on their terrace
Built in 1921, the Louxor cinema boasts distinctive neo-Ancient Egyptian architecture. A listed historical building, it closed in 1988. After having been threatened with demolition, it was renovated and reopened to the public on 17 April 2013. Situated in the 18th arrondissement, in the La Chapelle district, the Louxor screens recent films as well as great cinema classics.
It seems not possible to get inside without tickets. However, outside the building is gorgeous
A nice theatre
Very authentic cinema and one of the oldest cinema in Paris. Regarding the age of the cinema the experience cannot compare to new ones but the overall atmosphere is great as long as the price. Movie selection is great.
