What can I say, it is a beautiful place. Neither myself nor my girlfriend are remotely religious but you couldn't help but feel...something, here. The scale of the place is fantastic, the architecture and history is fascinating. I am so glad I got to see it prior to the fire and I am so glad that it is going to be restored, places like this are so important to our culture, to our history that they should not be allowed to just rot.

This is architecture at its finest. Amazing details. Beautiful structure. Just simply breathtaking inside and out... the powerful and spiritual journey is life changing... the walk into the church that billions have visited over hundreds of years just takes you to a different place. VISITORS BE AWARE While visiting the cathedral itself is free. In order to climb the stairs and go to the top for the amazing views you do have to pay 10€. I strongly recommended going and reserving your time to climb the top before entering the cathedral. That way by the time ur done exploring the cathedral (1 - 1.5hrs or less), it will be your time to climb the top. Most people did not know that and by the time they got to the reservation area all the spots were gone (by 1430).

The stain glass windows are amazing. Outside the architecture is amazing. Some very strange statues. It makes you wonder why there’s a priest holding his own head. Others show babies being killed. The gargoyles are fantastic and watch over Paris. Admission was free which was a plus. An indispensable place for lovers of architectural masterpieces. The most famous cathedral in Paris near the river Sena, one of the oldest, was built in the Gothic style between 1163. and 1345. The witness is many events during the tumultuous history of France, an inspiration for writers. When the sun sets up looks like a fairy tale. History at it’s finest... I suggest to download the app to schedule your entry time for the tour, this will allow you to save a time slot, but be aware, if you miss your 10 minute window to get in you will have to wait until the next morning to get another opportunity to get in. You may walk into the actual church and see it, but cannot go up to the towers without the reservation.

Stunning architecture and an incredible experience. This cathedral is actually in use and the required silence inside makes the whole experience even more mesmerizing. I was the dork walking and looking up trying to find the gargoyles. You can see them much better on the sides of the church but they are way too high in the front, you might need binoculars. While inside, you can see a model of the church when it was built and read a little about the history. Highly recommended.

Free to go in, but the lines are very long. I wish I have known that you can pay 10 euros 💶 to go to the top of the structure. You can buy the ticket on the side of the building or online. They do close earlier than going into the church. You have to walk in and massive inside. Interesting info and art inside. I also suggest to come back at night time! 😉
