Rue Foch, 34000 Montpellier, France
I have seen many of these. Each major city must have their own. All have been grand. All invoke memories of a past too easily forgotten. Massive and mute... testament to the past.
Pretty but with all the protests and football madness around it I was unable to even get close, as the policy had to arrive to keep the peace. Bad experience. French complain and manifest disturbing everything (thatt the point) I t sucks!
Loverly market, work was being done when visited ponds were fluorescent green? Thought area could have been more planted but was still a brilliant open space to relax.
Part of Montpellier's wonderful heritage, well worth a visit
Beautiful views, amazing buildings, not busy considering the time of day. Lots of benches in the shade to sit on and enjoy the views.
