The Arctic Night - Stargazing And Aurora Trail Riding Experience
Have you ever seen the Northern Lights? This is your chance to ride through silent forests on your Finnish horses, and see some of the clearest skies in the world.

If you want to experience something else, this tour is for you. When the arctic night falls, we gather the group in our stables and get on our trusted Icelandic horses.
Our guide will lead you through dark and silent winter forest wilderness. There are no head lamps, no flashlights, no light pollution, only our eyes and instincts will lead us through the dark forest. First it will be dark, really dark. Within a few minutes, your eyes start to adapt to the darkness. After ten minutes, you are able to see rather well - snowy forest, small path, stars in the sky. The most faithful friend carrying you through the silent winter forest. For the people leading a city life, this is really something you will never forget.
If there's a moon, it will provide some light and if there are no clouds you are able to see the Milky Way or the Aurora Borealis with your own eyes more clearly than in most parts of the world.

Is this experience for me?
Weight limit is 90 to 100 kg (200 lb to 220 lb) depending on horse and riders' experience. We have couple of bigger geldings, who can carry a rider up to 110 kg (240 lb). If you have bigger or heavier riders in your group, please let us know, so we can arrange horses beforehand.
What do I need to bring?
Clothing
During winter time, please bring warm clothing, especially for children.
- If you bring your own riding gear, please make sure that you've disinfected all gear after previous riding at other stables.
- Wear clothes according to weather. You shall always wear long trousers, which you feel comfortable to wear and move around in. Avoid very slippery materials. When riding, you shall always wear a shirt with sleeves, no t-shirts.
- Rule of thumb is that it is better to wear too much clothes, rather that too little. Pay attention to your gloves and shoes. Toes and fingers will get cold first. Winter skiing clothes are a good choice for winter riding.
- A helmet is mandatory for every rider in all cases. You can loan a helmet from us. Please make sure that your winter hat is slim fit, so it can fit under the helmet.
- You should always wear gloves when riding, in summer and winter too.
- If it is raining, please wear suitable clothes.
