Saint Catherine, South Sinai Governorate, Egypt
Very well maintained with lot of stories to listen. Interesting place. Toilets and snacks available on payment. Exotic stones for souvenir lovers. Cellular network works around monastery only, most of journey from Sharm with network. Fee places road under construction, may cause inconvenience. Keep water and eatable handy for any unforseen.
From my point of view, the place is never worth the arduous effort of getting there. Aggressive Bedouins afflicted with their taxis ... Angry monks of the monastery also make not the impression that Tourists are really welcome guests. Maybe I was just unlucky on that day. At least (in my opinion) it`s also not a safe place...
An Incredible historic site! A Very delightful visit!
Btw it is the 1st time to visit a quiet place like that .. and really this place makes you feel good maybe because it's the place which connects the 3 religions (Muslims, Christians and Jewish people) I recommend this place for you to go really you will enjoy a lot 🙏❤
I must visit if you are in the Egypt area of Mount Sinai My wife and I called when on holiday 3 years ago and enjoyed it very much
